HOW TO GET INVOLVED IN LANDCARE
It’s easy to become
involved in landcare.
Here are some suggestions:
1. Set aside a few hours a month to care for your local park, bushland, beach, river or creek. There may already be a Landcare, Coastcare, Rivercare or Bushcare group in your area who would welcome your helping hands. Check our National Landcare Directory to find your local group.
2. Start your own landcare group. If there is not a group in your area get some friends and neighbours together, choose an area that you’d like to look after and get the technical advice you need to get started on your local patch.
3. Give a tax deductible donation to community landcare through Landcare Australia.
4. Buy products that carry the landcare and Coastcare logos because these companies support community-based environment projects. Keep an eye out when you are shopping!
5. Donate through Workplace Giving. Contact the Australian Charities Fund for details.
6. Choose to get your share documents through online programs supporting eTree.
