Despite difficult conditions brought about by the global economic downturn. Landcare Australia raised $8.6 million in non-government corporate funding during the 2008/09 financial year, which was down from last years record breaking $10.1 million but still a good result considering the tough economic climate.
We also generated $46.7 million of media coverage (equivalent advertising value) a twenty one percent increase from $38.5 million the previous year.In 2008/09 the projects team also distributed over $5.5 million in funding to 889 projects: a thirty-seven and a half percent increase on the amount of funding distributed in the previous year.

In the2007/08 financial year, Landcare Australia raised $10.1 million of cash and in-kind sponsorship from corporate partners. It also generated $40.6 million worth of media coverage, measured as the equivalent advertising value. $4 million in funding was distributed to 785 individual projects this year, a substantial increase in project nmbers from previous years.
