Can I get help to repair the environment on my property?
Yes. There are a number of State and Territory government agencies and non-government organisations that can offer advice to individuals on how to repair their local environment. Yes. Landcare Australia's role is raising corporate sponsorship and awareness. If you are a landcare group member you may like to visit Funding Opportunities.Can Landcare groups get projects funded through Landcare Australia?
Yes. Groups can apply to have their projects funded through Landcare Australia through a range of grant programs and special corporate sponsorship opportunities. How is Landcare Australia run?
Landcare Australia has a Board of Directors with representation from community landcare in each State/Territory, the Commonwealth, business, the National Farmers' Federation and the Australian Conservation Foundation. The board meets quarterly to set policy directions. Landcare Australia is managed by a CEO with an Executive Management Team and small staff.What's the difference between Landcare Australia and the community landcare movement?
Landcare Australia is a not-for-profit company that was established specifically to raise corporate sponsorship for and awareness of the landcare movement. The landcare movement groups are volunteers working to achieve a healthy environment and sustainable agriculture for all Australians.Where does sponsorship money go?
All sponsors' money goes to community landcare projects and promotion. For every $1 invested by the government, Landcare Australia achieves more than $10 in sponsorship value, including cash, in-kind contributions and media coverage.Who pays Landcare Australia's administration costs?
The Australian Government, with support from both the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and Department of Environment and Heritage, pays Landcare Australia's administration costs through the National Landcare Program. Landcare Australia also receives assistance from the NSW, WA and Victorian Governments.Corporate Australia also assists in providing support for Landcare Australia and landcare administration, community project management and promotion.
Why does landcare need Landcare Australia?
To ensure its long-term survival, the landcare network needs to have support from all sectors of the community. It needs to be on the political agenda so that bipartisan support and funding continues. Landcare Australia’s activities aim to increase the level of knowledge about landcare issues and promote a positive message, build the brand, and encourage community involvement on all levels.Why was Landcare Australia formed?
The Australian Government decided to create Landcare Australia to promote participation in landcare and to raise additional funds and support from corporate Australia.

Is there a policy on choosing Landcare corporate partners?
The Landcare Australia Board aims to work with a range of corporate organisations that are progressing towards the sustainable use of resources and supportive of the Australian landcare ethos. Landcare Australia does not endorse companies or products, but promotes partnerships with companies or products that support landcare.What is cause marketing?
Cause marketing has become a successful way to generate funding with companies donating a percentage of product sales through Landcare Australia for landcare group projects. Products such as Banrock Station Wines and Spicers Paper generate funding based on the total sales of the product as consumers respond to the green marketing campaigns run jointly by the companies and Landcare Australia.
